Betrayal, destruction, salvation
The Tabernacle Temple is essential to Shincheonji’s teaching on Revelation. The teaching is that Jesus appointed 7 messengers and they started the Tabernacle Temple as God’s people, later “satan’s pastor” entered the church to corrupt God’s people. Letters were sent urging the 7 messengers to repent, but they refused and betrayed God, leading to their destruction. After this, salvation is brought through this testimony.
The problem is, to both mainstream churches and Shincheonji, the Tabernacle Temple’s teachings have been heretical from the very beginning. You can not corrupt what was impure in the beginning.
3 Foundational Teachings from 1966
(1) Before the group even had their first gathering, Yoo Jae-yeol, was already claiming that he ate the book in Revelation 10. Later on, after quarreling with his father (Yoo In-gu), his father broke off from the group and claimed he ate the book. Then, over a decade later, Lee Man-hee claimed he was the one that actually ate the book. There is 1 book in Revelation 10.
(2) The Tabernacle Temple taught that they know the day the world will end and to survive, you must enter a bunker because the world will be consumed in fire. Shincheonji does not believe the end of the world will be physical, thus the Tabernacle Temple taught falsehood.
(3) The reality of “the abomination that causes desolation”. Jae-yeol taught that this was the leader (Kim Jong-gyu) of the group (Hosaeng Prayer Center) he left. Later on, Lee Man-hee stated this is someone else. There is 1 abomination that causes desolation in the Bible, not 2.
If Yoo Jae-yeol is a liar, then they were not God’s chosen people. Therefore there is no "betrayal" because they were heretics from the beginning.
If Yoo Jae-yeol is not a liar, then Lee Man-hee's claims make no sense. Did Yoo Jae-yool give the book of Revelation 10 back to the angel so then angel can give it again?
